This is a guide to show you the in's and outs of the UCP. 
First step, click User CP in the top left.


Step 2:
You get the summary page that has some info on your user:
Post count, how many per day, repudation, email, registration date, user group, referred members. And a recently referred members board accompanied by some stats for each referred user. Then your latest threads and its replies, views etc. 
Notice on the left hand side there is a column with all our links and options. 


Number 3.
Have a look through all the things. You can see your referrals, look at private messages, alert settings...

Edit profile: Birth date & its privacy, homepage, location, bio, sex, steam community profile link, rpname, profile music, etc.

I thought it might be worth making a FAQ thread that can be updated as we go just to cover some basic questions.
I expect this to get rather long over time, so my suggestion is if you have something specific in mind just Ctrl + F and punch in some key words. If you can't find anything relevant to your question, please make a thread.

Q: What do I do once I've registered?
A: You wait for an administrator to validate your email address and activate you.

Q: How to I apply for admin / mod?
A: Our community requires you to hold the rank of trusted for (usually) 1 week before applying for admin. You can find trusted applications in each of the servers forums. I.e. TTT > Applications > Trusted Applications. Please read the important threads there, such as the Application template. And we do not have moderators.

I don't like the way i have been treated recently, by some "trusted" members and some "guests" and some things they said where really not nice to say... so i thought of some rules:

#1 No speaking badly of a disability e.g "Are you Autistic or something?!"

#2 No targeting people e.g "KOS Del (every round)"

#3 Talk nice to each other, act nice to each other, or don't play. (Because im sick of people ruining this great community that i have grown to love by acting like little brats who think they can get away with anything *cough cough some people we know*

#4 Treat each player with respect. e.g "If they don't know how to play, teach them. If someone is annoying you, ask them to stop then get staff, not call KOS every single round on them"

Over all, i think that these rules would make the Rusty Cutlass a nicer place for new comers and people that play often.

    6. Introduce yourself to us (tell us about your skills, hobbies, ambitions): I'm a gamer, i now most controlls in gmod, i like to help people, and i love the rusty cutlass. and (most) players.

    7. What experience do you have with administration?: Yes, I have been admin on multiple minecraft servers... they all shut down from money loss.

    8. What makes you feel like you should be accepted than another applicant?: I am trust worthy, and I have been playing on the server for a while now.

    9. How are you going to improve our server?: I will get rid of minges and mass rdm'ers off the server.

    10. What makes you trustworthy?: you can easily tell if i'm lying.

    11. Have you ever been punished on the server and if so why?: Slain, because RDM's by accident or the victim is a dick.

    12. Name someone's steam name who can support your application?: *This is not necessary but will help your application some people that (may) accept me as staff: So_Salty, Skyrion, Some Random Gamer and Radox


Situations



    13. You have noticed that a staff member is abusing his powers and rdming because he/she thinks he/she is invincible as an admin. Do you feel that this is right? If not, what would you do in this situation? No, it is not right, i would report it to a higher staff and tell the person to stop. (because im a lower staff member)

    14. A young player joins that does not quite understand how to play, how do you show/teach the player how to play? I tell them the commands e.g "c" for T or Detective menu, etc.

    15. One of the players on the server starts to impersonate yourself/another admin. How would you deal with this player? Ban them instantly... unless they are a trusted and they are joking around, i would ban for 1 hour and tell other staff what happend then. To see if he gets a demote.

    16. You are on the forums and you notice a player being abused by others in the shout box and threads. Are you in control of this/is this your problem to worry about. Yes and yes, i would try to stop the harassment and find out whats happening, i would report it to a higher Staff member and let them deal with the rest.

I don't think this was a fair ban. i have read the Ban request that i was put in and it does not even state any evidence that i was "Mass RDMing" it only states that i was "Spoon’s friend The Banker" and at the end states that " the first log is of 3 metagamers" yes we where all in the same TeamSpeak, but we also decided to stop talking as soon as we died. I don't think my friends Spoon, DrunkenKat, and myself were banned for any good reason. There were a lot of rdms last night and that is the reasons we decided to get off because we don't like playing like that. Im sure you have checked the logs from earlier that day aswell when the three of us where getting reports from xkillaklownx that we where rdming and putting in false reports because we where putting in rdm reports on him and there was even a super admin on to support that he was rdming that super admins name was (Skyrion). We really enjoyed playing on this server and would like to play again this is why i have made this ban appeal
