So Will and I have discussed several times the idea of starting a joined YouTube channel.
Now I've been doing some thinking, and I reckon it'd be a good idea. I've found it to be really fun making YouTube videos with people.

Is there anybody else who would like to be a part of said channel? 
The idea (at least my idea) is to have the gaming channel, but also if anybody has ideas for other vids (animations, live-action, etc) we could post those vids on another branch of the channel.


Please let me know if you want to be a part of this channel, as I will be using that channel probably starting this weekend when I get some Gmod videos edited.

Hello my name is Salty Taco and I have been playing on The Rusty Cutlass TTT server for the last week and have been loving it.

Having a little trouble trying to fill out my research project proposal (I assume anybody doing year 12 or having done it knows what I'm talking about)
It's just a little light if that makes sense. Not much content to it.

Every server has their few most frequented maps, although the maps are amazing, a lot of the others aren't played as much. So it's stuck rotating through the same 5-6 maps. Though it's great having your favs, adding in a few ones that no one has heard of before can do wonders for diversity. 

One such map is crummy cradle. Long time players of gmod and TTT would remember this on a few of their old servers. This map is recommended for medium to a high number of players on the server as it is mostly used for sniping and other long distance guns.

The next is the complete opposite. Crazy cubes is a fun idea, but is mainly meant for a low number of players such as the times during the night when only about 6-10 people are playing. It's a very unique idea and can be real fun. I personally downloaded the map to make sure it works, which it does.

Now this is lost temple. One of the very first TTT maps. Extremely large, but extremely worth it. I've had some of my best TTT memories on this map. Between the traps, T rooms (multiple) and places to teleport. It's a traitors dream. Not to mention the iconic "walls closing in to kill you" T trap. Definitely a must do.

The next is Canyon. Very familiar map to most. Usually a sniping map, but there are building where shotguns would be better.

Now I wasn't here at the start of this server, so everything I've suggested here might have been covered before, but these are probably my favourite maps and the diversity could bring in newer players, as most servers don't host them anymore. It's up to you, but thanks for the read fellas.

You have noticed that a staff member is abusing his powers and rdming because he/she thinks the/she is invincible as an admin. Do you feel that this is right? If not, what would you do in this situation?:

No this is not right. I would tell them to stop if they would not listen and continued to rdm i would take a recording of him/her rdming and  contact a higher up as soon as possible.  


 A young player joins that does not quite understand how to play, how do you show/teach the player how to play?:

I would tell them to read the rules and if they need to know anything else to ask me.


One of the players on the server starts to impersonate yourself/another admin. How would you deal with this player?:

I would first give them a warning and tell them to change their name if they would not do as i ask i would kick them for impersonating a staff member if they continued to join i would ask a higher up if a ban would be appropriate.


You are on the forums and you notice a player being abused by others in the shout box and threads. Are you in control of this/is this your problem to worry about.:

Yes it would my problem there should be no bullying in The Rusty Cutlass in game or on the forums. I would ask why they are bullying the user and resolve the problem from there.

The Winchester 73. Has 55 to the chest, and less to the other hotboxes. This weapon takes a bunch of skill to use as it's a lever actioned rifle with no scope, meaning it is most effective in Medium - Long range. Though this is the case, the damage of hitting anything other than the head makes this weapon completely unreliable in almost all cases, rathering an automatic rifle that will kill you faster in a medium to close range situation, or a scoped rifle to the head in all long range situations. I feel if the damage was amped up to about 70-80, it would give it the power it deserves and would be made more playable.

Other weapons that deserve a look include almost all the non pistols who require the pistol ammo. These weapons are all practically the same since they do about the same damage with almost no damage in everything else. They have similar firing actions and sometimes it's not even worth choosing one of those over a deagle, revolver etc. Increasing the damage a very tiny bit would make them more playable and some people will start to understand that you're able to spam them to acquire faster kills if headshots aren't your speciality. 

Another example is some of the shotguns. Spas12 is completely useless. Does 2 damage a bullet. I'd rather take a chance on the crowbar. According to Random Gamer, the sniper shotgun (Remington I think?) and the Ithica both deserve buffs as well. I haven't personally used those weapons much, but I trust him.

There are actually some sub machine guns, with the same fire rate, same damage, same clip size, everything. I'm not sure if this was deliberate, but it just makes most weapons so much less unique. It should matter what you pick up.

I have about 21 hours in the server. If you need me to provide a screenshot of this, I can. I play everyday, with the exception that sometimes uni and work have me all booked up. Which obviously comes before this responsibility, as does school for most players.

I currently attend Queensland University of Technology in my second year. I read, write, game, and drink with friends when I can. I also spend a lot of time working at a restaurant in my local area. Predominantly, my ambitions consist of being successful in my field, whether it be an author, editor, publisher etc etc and eventually finding happiness. That sounds gay, but honestly that's what everyone wants in the end.

   7. What makes you feel like you should be accepted instead of another applicant?:

First off, apart from being 19 and more mature than most players (In my opinion), I also have 2200 hours on Gmod. This comes in the form of around 4 TTT servers which I mainly played on that lasted several years each, and then a server of DarkRP. I maintained the rank of admin in every single one of them as I was chosen above the rest for my decision making and non bias moderating.

   8. How are you going to improve the server?:

I think it does not need an explanation judging from my experience, but from my amassed amount of hours, and moderating experience, I think it's safe to say I wouldn't make a negative impact upon the server. In my past servers I was easily the most active staff member, and on the nights where everything is mayhem, my talents and attention to detail in proceedings would make myself an asset to the server.

   9. Have you ever been punished on the server and if so why?:

No. If I felt like an admin was taking advantage of their powers and punishing me falsely, I would have taken it to their superiors. 

  10. What makes you trustworthy?:

Loyalty and unbiased moderating. I've always prided myself on keeping my word, during gaming or in real life. As I have very little anger, I don't let it get to me. Most regular members and staff know me by now and I feel as if I've made a few friends.
