I dont no if this is the right place to place this but i just want to inform the server owners of my ping issuees since the host change i use to get about 50 and now it has gone up to about 170 this is aloso the same for Mr Waffles his just goes up to 220

Okay so I spoke to Kortari earlier about my half baked theory:
Because this is a new host on a new address that has barely been used in the past, it's possible that you're having trouble finding the best rdoute to the server, your location may also be a factor (I assume you're both from the same part of NZ?), in saying that, So_Salty's ping is fine.
People in WA, SA, VIC, and TAS should find a slight improvement in ping from the last host, because this one is hosted in Melbourne, as opposed to the last one being in Sydney.
Also Stigin ran a traceroute on you and it's quite easily the strangest one I've seen in a while. I can PM it to you if you like.

Ok so I'm not a tech guy so this might be a reall dumb question. I'm just curious why the ping would be better in Melbourne even though Melbourne is further away than Sydney. Once again might be a really retarded question

Eh, my ping is random as usual. My lag has not changed, but I think that's client-side. I have no idea what causes it, either. Sucks as well, because during one of my lag spikes, if I fire a gun, it consumes ammo, hits the target, and does 0 damage.

How the fuck is Melbourne further from you than Sydney?

Also network cables, if Melbourne is physically closer to your location, you get better ping to it.
