When players are dead, I think it'd be good if there was a 'Deathmatch' section on the tab menu. Just a small addition, but it'd be cool to have on big maps where you aren't sure if you're alone.

So you know who else is in DM? Couldn't you just ask though? Anyway, when you spawn, others will occasionally pulse red.

Yeah... Asking works too, I understand its a little thing that might not be worth the effort, but I saw it in another server ages ago and I thought it was a nice feature.

It's automatically added to the default scoreboard, but isn't in the one we use. It is definitely possible but I don't think worth the time.
You could ask, or look for the red flashes as SRG suggested, as well as when someone joins after you it sends a message to all the spectators "$name has joined the deathmatch!"

Thing is, people could have come before you. Still, seems kinda trivial. Nice idea, though.
